Before you start
Follow the instructions supplied with your decal and the vinyl manufacturer’s temperature and surface recommendations. The steps below are general guidance for adhesive window decals.
- Choose a smooth surface and keep the design clear of your driving view, moving parts, and sensors.
- Clean the surface with a suitable cleaner, remove residue, and let it dry completely.
- Check placement before removing the backing. Measure and use masking tape as a temporary guide if helpful.
- Peel the backing carefully. If your decal uses transfer tape, keep all parts of the design attached to that tape.
- Apply gradually, pressing from the center outward with a squeegee or soft card.
- If supplied, peel transfer tape back slowly at a shallow angle. If a piece lifts, press it down again before continuing.
Care
Follow the vinyl manufacturer’s curing and cleaning instructions. Avoid scraping the design or directing pressure-washer jets at its edges. Use gentle cleaning and inspect edges before washing.
